Domestic Energy Assessment (DEA)
A Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) evaluates your home’s energy performance through an on-site survey and produces an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)—a legal requirement when selling, building, or renting properties in the UK. Our DEAs use the latest RdSAP methodology to produce accurate insights into your property’s energy use and carbon emissions, helping you reduce energy costs and improve efficiency.
Our Domestic Energy Assessment includes:
-
Site Survey – We inspect insulation, heating systems, lighting, ventilation, windows/doors, and building materials to understand how your home performs today.
-
EPC Generation – Using approved software and the latest RdSAP methods, we calculate your EPC rating (A to G), energy usage, carbon output, and annual energy costs.
-
Practical Recommendations – We advise homeowners, landlords, and managers on simple, cost-effective improvements, such as better insulation, boiler upgrades, or renewable energy options.
-
Regulatory Insight – We stay up-to-date on building regulations, energy standards, and government incentives to ensure your assessment reflects industry requirements.
Property Inspection
The assessor reviews all key energy-related features of the home, including insulation, heating, lighting, ventilation, and any renewable energy systems.
Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
The assessment produces an EPC rating, clearly showing your property’s energy efficiency on a scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).
Heating & Insulation Evaluation
We assess the efficiency of boilers, radiators, and heating controls, alongside insulation levels in walls, roofs, and floors.
Windows & Doors Analysis
We evaluate the type and condition of windows and doors, including glazing and draught-proofing, to determine their impact on heat retention.
Energy Consumption & Carbon Emissions
The report details your property’s energy usage, estimated annual costs, and strategies to reduce carbon emissions.
